Tango Music & Parlor Guitars
I love old turn-of-the-century American parlor guitars.... my favorite guitar design. When I was asked to design some Tango musicians recently, I gave them... what else? It may have nothing to do with authentic tango music instrument selection, but what the hey? I knew they would be on screen for 6 frames anyway, and you gotta have some fun! I figured I couldn't get away with giving them ukuleles...

Wonderful work, Ernie! They look a bit like Mexican mariachi or Spanish flamenco guitarists to me? I can hear them shout "olé"!
I think it's great that one of them is left-handed too.
;-)
these are pretty awesome! i want to see them animate
Hey Ernie! What's up man?! Awesome drawings my friend. By the way, the ukelele is is doing fine.

I love these guys....you can tell the guy who did these is a musician/enthusiast from the emphasis that is put on the guitars and their details.
I also like the little guys beard, neat shape!
sweet...love the linework on these characters.
These are amazing....i have a soft spot for cartoon/illustrated hands. I know that sounds wierd, but for some reason they have so much character!! You rule Ernie.xoxo alex (tyler)
